extensive experience in social services, with a particular focus on supporting survivors of domestic violence as well as extensive experience working with immigrant populations and families from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
In her previous work as a court advocate, Maria assisted survivors in securing orders of
protection and developing safety plans tailored to their needs.
Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Northeastern Illinois University.
Maria is passionate about advocating for people’s rights. She is a cat lover and enjoys the outdoors.
