“Mi Raza” Film Screening

Building Peaceful Bridges is collaborating with the Chicago Film Archives to host a screening of Mi Raza: Portrait of a Family (1973), an intimate documentary following the multi-generational Navarro family in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood as they navigate cultural identity, assimilation, and the emerging Chicano movement. Stay for a panel discussion with the Director Susan Stechnij, Professor Xóchitl Bada, and Brian Herrera as they reflect on the film’s lasting relevance.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 24th from 7–8:30 pm at the Glenview Public Library Community Room.
